Hasbro’s QnA Summary

The Galactic Heroes received some nice attention during this session’s Hasbro Q&A.  Check out the following site’s questions and Hasbro’s responses.

One of the best pieces of news is that although the Cinema Scenes subline is going on hiatus, they still plan on  producing more vehicles!

Thanks to ARBCOToys for the handy summary at TheRumorBuster.

From JediNews:
1.  We’re sorry to see the Galactic Heroes Cinema Scenes go. What does this mean for Galactic Heroes in terms of future vehicles and additional figures – will we continue to see vehicles or will the 2 packs be the only outlet for Galactic Heroes moving forward (and will we see all four Republic Commandos as Galactic Heroes) and finally, are we likely to see a return to the Cinema Scenes sometime in the future?

Something had to give way to make room for the Galactic Heroes AT-AT, so it was decided to put the Cinema Scenes on hiatus as a mainline offering.  There still may be exclusive Cinema Scenes here and there to take advantage of the cool vehicle library we have built up.  As for the other Commandos, we hope that they will find their way into the lineup at some point, but it won’t be for a while if so.

From Raving Toy Maniac:
Does the Galactic Heroes AT-AT’s head open to allow access to figures? If so, how many figures?

Answer: Yes, the head will open to fit one figure.

From Yodasnews:
YN: With the Galactic Heroes Cinema Scenes being put “on hold” will we still see the Purchase of the Droids and Kamino set?

Hasbro: Yes, they got pushed out due to Toys ‘R Us asking for a re-release of some of their previous Cinema Scenes. We are back on track, and these will be coming later this Spring to Toys ‘R Us.

A Peek Inside the AT-AT

There are some great pics of the AT-AT across the net as it was on display at Toy Fair, but until today I hadn’t found one showing some of the action features on the beast.  Thanks to this image from ComicFigs.net, we get a look at a couple of its movable parts.  It’s likely no surprise, but the head flips open for put your AT-AT Driver to sit and guide the walker towards the Rebel bunker.  As well, you can see the body has a door that opens and gives you room for your troopers to ride into battle.  It appears the Speeder Bike should easily fit inside as well.  It would be great to see the back of that packaging for more features!

Toy Fair: AT-AT

The New York Toy Fair has begun!  First up are some images of the long awaited All-Terrain Armored Transport, Galactic Heroes style.  It has some electronics, like lights and sounds, and also includes an AT-AT Driver and Speeder Bike.  It will be in stores in August, when the entire Star Wars line is rebooting itself for 2010.  It doesn’t appear to be an exclusive, so hopefully it will be available in all of your local stores.  Check out Rebelscum’s gallery (starting at image 27) for a few loose shots – you’re gonna love it!
