Photo Guide: Republic Commandos Fixer and Boss

The Republic Commando video game was a huge hit with Star Wars fans and gamers alike, so it’s great for them to finally receive some attention in the form of Galactic Heroes.  The first 2 members of Delta Squad to be created are the green-striped Fixer and the orange-trimmed Boss.  Both figures are impressive, and really stand out among the other Clones created in the line.

Photo Guide: Cad Bane and Aurra Sing

Now that the Christmas festivities have slowed down, we can return to the job of photographing some more Galactic Heroes!  This time we get a look at two bad bounty hunters, Cad Bane and Aurra Sing.  I’m really impressed with Cad Bane, he’s got some great presence, though he does suffer from some rough silver paint application.   Aurra Sing looks great, but she has zero articulation except at the neck, which is a little disappointing.

Photo Guide: Padme & Senate Security Clone

Next in 2010’s Wave 1 is Snow Bunny Padme and the Senate Security Clone Trooper.  Both figures look fantastic, enjoy.

Photo Guide: Bomb Squad Clone & Super Battle Droid

We continue looking at 2010’s Wave 1 of 2-packs with the Clone Trooper (Bomb Squad) and Super Battle Droid.  Enjoy!

Photo Guide: Anakin and Ahsoka in Space

It’s been a long time coming, but I’m going to start up my Photo Guide, one pack at a time!

Today we look at the squabbling duo from The Clone Wars, Anakin and Ahsoka.  This set is from 2010’s Wave 1, where we see them in their Space outfits.  I’ve supplied a generic shot of the package, courtesy of Hasbro, since I had already opened before I started my photography.

New Wave in Stock at HTS

Not having any luck finding the Quinlan Vos wave of 2-packs at retail?  Then head over to HasbroToyShop.com and grab ’em while they’re in stock!  Even better, use the code “FAMILY2010” in your cart and you’ll save 25%.  Thanks to Neal at Rebelscum.com for the news.

Fred Meyer Deals

If you’ve got a Fred Meyer in your neighbourhood, head over and check out their deal on Galactic Heroes.  They’re only $4 each, plus there is a 10% off deal on top of that, so it’s worth making the stop!  Thanks to Amy for the heads up.

… And Living in the UK Pays Off Too!

Here’s another shot of the Scout Walker, courtesy of TheToon from TheRumorBuster’s forums!  He’s a resident of the good ol’ UK, so he was fortunate enough to get his hands on it and took some fantastic pics.  Be sure to head over and check them out!  Can you tell this blogger is infatuated with the AT-ST? 😉

Having Friends in the UK…

… Really pays off, particularly for regular reader GH Customs who managed to get his hands on the new AT-ST!  He was kind enough to send us a couple great pics:

Vehicle Wishlist – The Results!

I’ve got to say that I was amazed and impressed with all the vehicles that people want to see made!  So what was the number one choice?  With 16 votes, it was the Republic Gunship!  That certainly makes sense, considering its importance in the prequels and especially in the current Clone Wars cartoon.  But very close behind in 2nd place with 14 votes was the TIE Fighter, the workhorse of the Empire.  The TIE was this blogger’s personal number 1 choice. 😉

Here is the Top 10:

  • Republic Gunship
  • TIE Fighter
  • Sandcrawler
  • A-Wing
  • Imperial Shuttle
  • Star Destroyer
  • TIE Bomber
  • Death Star
  • Landspeeder
  • Y-Wing Fighter (Original Trilogy)

And for the curious, to round out the Top 15:

  • Anakin’s Podracer
  • Grievous’ Wheelbike
  • Bantha
  • Sail Barge
  • Twilight / Vulture Droid  (tied)

Thanks again to everyone that participated, and watch for another wishlist coming very soon.
